I had two orders for Mardi Gras shirts recently and here are a few pictures of those orders. The last two pictures are from the first order GONE WRONG!! Actually I just didn't realize how old the dye was...it was mixed in December and I didn't realize how weak it would be...it came out of the bottle bright but then faded...I did re-do this order with new shirts, so don't think that I would sell these to you!!

When I read back over that last post it almost sounded like I was not doing KnitWhits anymore! JUST TO CLARIFY...I'm just taking a break from doing markets/shows!!! I will still be selling my tie-dye and making new items when ordered!! The Clinton Market is done for the year and the Belhaven Market just goes through December. They are both closed for the months of January, February and March. We may look at doing the Double Decker Festival in Oxford next year along with some other larger festivals. SO, I hope I didn't confuse anyone!! Also, I am going to look into setting up and Etsy store. I think this would work for our family next year rather than doing a show every Saturday. Thanks again and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

The holiday season is here...

KnitWhits had its last booth at a market for 2008! We were at the Belhaven Market this past Saturday and had a great day. But with the holidays coming up, I've decided to spend this time with my sweet baby and hubby! I have worked hard over the last few months and we are ready to enjoy some family time and prepare for the holiday season.

I have had to go up on the price of my adult t-shirts not only because they cost more than childrens shirts but also because they use a LOT more dye than the childrens clothes.

A Day In The Country

This Saturday, KnitWhits will have a booth at A Day In The Country at Chapel of the Cross in Madison, MS. This is their annual festival and I think it will be a great venue for KnitWhits. We hope for beautiful cool weather! The festival is from 9am-4pm and there is no cost to come. There will be childrens games and activities available for minimal charges as well as food, arts and crafts! Please come see us!!

Ole Brook Fest, Brookhaven, MS

Well I must say that Saturday was a crazy day! I woke up to thunder that morning and just about cried!! I couldn't believe that it was rainy and overcast. We actually were able to set up the tent and display during the 30 minutes it didn't rain that morning...but it continued to rain for several hours! My wonderful husband kept telling me that it was okay and everything will be fine! And it was! The sun came out (a little), the rain stopped and the shoppers emerged. We had a very succesful day and I look forward to going back next year.

Don't worry, this wasn't our tent, but I felt so bad for these guys.
